News this week…

Allayne Webster’s novel Stresshead has received a positive review in Dec
2011/Jan 2012 ‘Get Reading’ magazine. Allayne was Keynote speaker at the Salisbury Friends of the Library Dinner hosted at Salisbury Football Club, a panelist at the Salisbury Writers’ Festival in a Q&A scenario, host to Hachette publisher Jon Appleton at a speed-
pitch event for newbie writers and a presenter at Flinders University as part
of the ‘Authors and their worlds’ program. She recently presented to multiple primary and secondary school classes at Brighton Library, St Teresa Primary School, Kingston Community School, Tyndale Christian College and Parkside Community Childcare Centre.

SA Life Magazine’s November issue features an article about eKIDnas Dan
McGuiness, Allayne Webster and Sally Heinrich.

Vikki Wakefield’s short film scripts ‘Sayonara, Astrid’ and ‘Bad Penny’ have been produced by third year TAFE film students. They’re screening at the Palace Cinema 1 on Saturday, 10th December at 2pm under the titles ‘Duty of Care’ and ‘Zoe’. Congratulations to all the students involved in the production of these short films.

eKIDnas celebrated Christmas in fine style at Namaste Restaurant, George Street on Tuesday night. Namaste’s Nepalese cuisine was outstanding and a wonderful time was had by all (there must be something in the Nine Bean Curry).
