Week 2 – Update!

Hello again, and welcome to our second weekly update! This week, in the world of eKIDnas:

Rosanne Hawke’s new historical novel called Taj and the Great Camel Trek has just been launched with kissing camels.

Marianne Musgrove has been awarded funding through the Richard
Llewellyn Arts and Disability Trust to write a verse novel. Award
winning children’s verse novelist, Catherine Bateson, will mentor her.

Ruth Starke’s review of children’s fiction in the July edition of Australian Book Review, including new titles by SA writers Penny Matthews and Eleanor Nilsson.

Vikki Wakefield’s All I Ever Wanted has been longlisted for the 2011 Gold Inky Award, hosted by Melbourne’s Centre for Youth Literature. Votes can be posted online at insideadog.com.au.
